This is a prototype I worked on for 3 days for a YouTube challenge video that is coming soon!
It's mainly a demo as it's not that long but I hope you can still have fun!
Controls
[WASD] Movement
[Left Click] Shoot
[SPACE] Hold to jump
[F] Meow / Interact
[I] Inspect weapon
There are many bugs and missing features that I know of. I may update it but as it stands this is the 3 day version.

Install instructions
Download and extract zipped folder.
Launch Rodent Retribution.exe. If Windows Security pops up just click "more info", then "Run anyway".

Really cool game especially for only 3 days
The game has nice graphics, that would be the strong point. As far as gameplay, its nice but it gets really frustrating. The jump is kind of hard to aim, and the fact that you have to start all over again every time you die makes the game feel frustrating and kind of repetitive by the 5th or so time you have to do it. A checkpoint system would improve the game quite a lot.
For a prototype game it shows promise.
The "9 lives" is a fun little nod to cats having... 9 lives! My only real criticism is the lack of enemy variety beyond rats with different guns! Environments might also be a bit too dark or the rats blend in too well along with being pretty small targets!
In any case, I look forward to the finished game!
Thank you so much! My goal was to have a giant rat king boss in the end but I couldn’t finish it in the 3 days unfortunately. If I continued this there would be many different rats.
